As a Billing Specialist, youll play a vital role in managing and maintaining accurate billing and collections processes, ensuring timely reimbursements, and supporting the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities:
Complete billing activities within specified timeframes
Maintain and update all billing information in billing databases
Audit billing sheets to ensure compliance and accuracy of services billed
Verify Medicaid and HMO eligibility as needed
Utilize knowledge of Medicaid billing codes and reimbursement rates
Handle extensive phone and electronic communications with professionalism
Respond to emails, calls, and inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
Support a positive and collaborative work environment
Participate in special projects and assignments as needed
Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and training requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelors degree in a financial/accounts receivable are) preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in billing and collections (behavioral health or healthcare setting preferred)
Must successfully pass a background check
Willingness to complete 40 hours of training annually
