Sonoran Roots is looking for a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Budtender, working alongside our Ponderosa Flagstaff team.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a qualified Budtender with experience in the cannabis industry. Budtenders are the first impression of Ponderosa and must be an ambassador for Ponderosa customer service standards and our company culture. Maintaining a clean and professional environment that aligns with our first-class standards is also crucial to this role.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - BUDTENDER:

Staff members must understand, abide by, and enforce AZ Department of Health Services ("AZDHS") rules, regulations, and compliance standards.

Direct / Check-In customers in accordance with AZDHS compliance and Ponderosa procedures. Check the customer's state product allowance with the Arizona Department of Health Services Verification System (as applicable).

Answer or direct inquiries through proper channels when needed.

Monitor Lobby / Patient Waiting Room ensuring a safe, clean and professional working environment.

Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers to generate business for the dispensary.

Maintain a current inventory of office supplies.

Collect all incoming mail and disperse to the proper location.

Maintain an organized work environment and be attentive to details.

Update and maintain current product menus and product listings.

Maintain compliance regarding the management of patient records and all materials containing patient personally identifiable information.

Complete daily checklists of tasks with efficiency and precision.

Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and professional working environment.

Safely and compliantly move cannabis products throughout the facility.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail.

Greet visitors and customers warmly, both in-person and over the phone, fostering positive relationships.

Build and maintain relationships with customers to enhance business growth.

Manage customer records and materials containing customer information responsibly.

Provide excellent customer experiences.

Work in a high-volume sales environment, standing for extended periods.

Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and reliability.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Flexible with scheduling and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Pay Rate: From $18.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed.

Quick learner and willing to be coachable and flexible with work tasks.

Must be 21+ years old.

Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card.

Attention to detail and ability and willingness to follow instructions.

Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Reliable attendance and communication - show up to work when you say you will and do what you say you will do.

Criminal background checks will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application.

Reliable transportation.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred):

Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal).

Desire for full-time employment opportunities with the company.

High school diploma or GED.

Cannabis-related education.

Schedule: 35-40 hours per week
