Job Details

Assist the Head Cook with food preparation and cooking of menu items. Prepares foods according to prescribed sanitation standards, standardized recipes, using standard portion sizes. Keep inventories of cold foods, and list foods to be ordered. Perform cleaning duties such as washing dishes, wiping counters and cleaning kitchen areas. Ensure food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to. Receive and store food items according to safety and sanitation guidelines. Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout the cooking process. Ensure the kitchen is properly stocked with necessary items. Qualifications Must hold a current Arizona Food Handlers Sanitation card. Two years in institutional cooking experience required. Course in food production, sanitation, and safety preferred. Vocational or technical education desirable. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Must understand, speak, read and write fluent English.
